opus supports five ray input patterns, with 36, 72, 144, 216 and 432 rays.

The following spot images and wavefront-interference images show:
>> all ray input patterns produce potentially useful spot images
>> 36 and 72 ray input patterns produce utterly useless/horrible wavefront-interference images
>> 144 ray input pattern produces reasonable wavefront-interference images - with some artifacts
